For those people fed up with all the phone taxes you pay every month.

Do you like paying anywhere from 15 to 75 plus dollars in taxes a month that are not authorized and are administrative taxes?

Would you like to get a refund of all federal excise taxes you paid for the last 30 years, with interest?

This is just what you need so you to can stop paying. You must use the Public Utilities Commission in your State to file a complaint. However you could do it in federal or state court and then you have to pay filing fees and all that. With the PUC they file your complaint for you. A man in North Carolina did just that and stopped the phone company from shutting off his phone service when he refused to pay all the taxes that are illegal. However, he paid all the other charges that he was required. In reading the first two entries, when you obtain them from the N.C. PUC, you will see just what taxes were withheld by the man in North Carolina. The same will appear on your bill with a slightly different name due to your state.

Here is a how to, in simple terms

Below is the folder of contents, but not the complete folder of all running events that have taken place. If you want the complete folder you have to contact the N.C. PUC at 1-919-715-4343 and ask them to either fax or mail you the complete Folder of Contents which is free, but you must include the Docket number P-89 SUB 69. When you get the entire folder you can obtain everything there for 20 cents a page prepaid. You pick and choose what you want then find out how much it is and send for it if you so choose. I believe there are 256 pages total so far which includes all responses by both Complainant and Respondents.

However, the only things you need are the first two entries dated 12/07/1998 and the one dated 1-14-1999, which is the support the General Accounting Office (GAO) sent to the N.C. PUC in this case to start your case.
